The RemainSafe 6×8 Above-Ground Interior Safe Room is an engineer stamped and FEMA compliant storm shelter. It can be installed in an interior room of your home, office, or any other location with a 3″ slab of concrete.

This model is a favorite for our homeowners or business owners who would prefer not to go down steps or into a small space underground.

Above Ground Safe Rooms

This shelter must be installed on a 3″ thick concrete slab typically inside a garage, carport, or in the driveway. RemainSafe shelters come standard with 36-in handicap accessible door, 6-ft ceiling height, and lockable door.

All of our shelter models and styles have been tested to meet or exceed FEMA 320/361 and ICC-500 criteria through the Wind and Debris Laboratory at Texas Tech University.

This safety shelter is a hardened structure specifically designed to meet the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) criteria and provide near-absolute protection in extreme weather events, including tornadoes and hurricanes.

Near-absolute protection means that based on our current knowledge of tornadoes and hurricanes, the occupants of a safe room built in accordance with FEMA guidance, will have a very high probability of being protected from injury or death.

  • Quickly installs onto a cured concrete slab using a 2 part epoxy blend
